Ongoing Events

Men's Breakfast, Second Saturdays, 8 AM, led by intern Ryan Cosgrove.

Garden Work Day, Second Saturdays, 9ish to noon. Volunteers tend SJU's meditation garden of native plantings and the vegie beds where we grow food for the soup kitchens at SJU.

Table to Table is a young adult group for people in their 20's and 30's who live in the Seattle area. We gather together monthly to delight in community and share reflections on faith and life. Our name reflects our intention to explore the connections between the grace we experience at the communion table and the grace we bear to the many other tables and common areas around which we gather in daily life: meal tables, pub tables, game tables, retreat tables, service tables, civic tables, etc...

Many of us are rooted in the Lutheran Christian tradition, some of us belong to other Christian denominations, and some of us do not consider ourselves members of any faith community at present. We welcome people of diverse experiences, backgrounds, and perspectives, and embrace the many ways we support and shape each other through the honest and respectful conversations we share. For more information, contact Intern Kari Lipke and/or find us on Facebook.

Theology Pub: Occasionally throughout the year (4-6 times), adults of all ages gather for conversation around a meal, movie screen, or beverages to discuss contemporary life from faith perspectives. If you are interested in knowing more about such upcoming events, you may contact Intern Kari Lipke or call the SJU office.
