Education and Fellowship

Adult Forum meets every Sunday (September-June) at 9:10 AM in Room 217.  Guest speakers, videos, or presentations by the pastor or other members of the congregation  are the basis for lively discussion.  We welcome newcomers and drop-ins.

Monthly Bible Studies

• Evening Women’s Bible Study, third Tuesday, 7:15 PM
  
  
• Men’s Bible Study, third Wednesday, 7 PM
  
  
• Women’s Fellowship, fourth Thursdays, 11 AM
  

Men’s Breakfast meets at 8 AM on the second Saturday of the month.

Book Study: occasional gatherings to discuss a common book. In Spring 2010, the common book is Stones Into Schools by Greg Mortenson.

Children and Youth

Sunday School for children ages 3 through 10 is offered every Sunday during the school year at 9:40 AM. 

LYONS (Lutheran Youth of North Seattle), a ministry with middle and high school students that is jointly sponsored by 10 Lutheran churches including St. John United.

2010 Summer Saturday Hikes:
June 5, Heather Lake, 4 miles RT/800 ft.  Beautiful lake on the Mountain Loop.
July 24, Bridal Veil Falls, 4 miles RT/1000 ft.  Near Index on Highway 2.  Hard core hikers can continue to Lake Serene, 7 mi RT.
August 21, Little Si, 5 miles RT/1500 ft.  Near North Bend on I-90.
September 25, Lake Twenty-two, 5.5 miles RT/1300 ft.  Another great Mountain Loop lake, plus waterfalls on the route.
October 2, Wallace Falls, 5 miles/900 ft.  Near Gold Bar on Highway 2.

Summer Campout for all Ages: The first weekend of August the church reserves the group campsite at Millersylvania State Park south of Olympia for a weekend of food, fun and fellowship.

Parents' Night Out: Two or three times a year, childcare is provided so that parents can go out, together or on their own.

Theology Pub. Wide-ranging discussions of theology and more over brew.

Free First Thursday Field Trips: Visit fantastic local museums for free!
